Sasha is the epitome of what an Arab should be. Independent and trusting, expressive and curious, she routinely proves her incredible abilities in new, and sometimes stressful, situations. After four months under saddle she was taken to a charity trail ride where she made it abundantly clear that her future was as a distance horse. Since then Sasha has been showing her human the joys and challenges of distance riding, completing her (and her rider's) first 50 mile Endurance ride in sweltering heat and humidity in June, 2014.
Sasha has evolved into a trusted lesson horse, testing her riders just enough to keep them progressing. Her two favourite activities are galloping and eating, with a bit of jumping thrown in for fun! She is smart, stubborn, sassy, silly... but above all, she is wonderful enough that we named our entire farm after her!
Sasha is a fantastically level-headed and consistent distance horse, and has confidently taken four different riders on multiple "firsts" in the Endurance world. She is the youngest of the three mares and will likely be the last bred. Until then she will be blazing trails in the snow and forging flooded creeks, and delighting her riders with her strong love of food and insistence on scratches!
