Location

Wildfire Arabians is located in Bourget, Ontario, adjacent to an interconnected series of horse-friendly trails within the protected Larose Forest, as well as two associated parking lots (one to accommodate horse trailers). Located 30 minutes east of Ottawa, and 15 minutes from Highway 417, we are easily accessible from all directions. Several amenities are located fewer than 5 minutes away, making it easy to run errands on the way to and from the farm.
The Larose Forest Equestrian Trails are specifically designated for horses, but horses are allowed throughout the entire forest. Since Wildfire Arabians was founded, our "family" has logged countless hours hiking, riding, and biking the trails in order to create new trails and find lost trails, as well as map existing trails. In 2015 the Wildfire Arabians team comprised a large part of the organizing committee for the inaugural "Lopin' Larose," an OCTRA-sanctioned 25 mile (40 km) Competitive Trail Ride (CTR) held in the Larose Forest which expanded to include a 50 mile (80 km) Endurance ride in 2016.
In addition to the trails, which are open May-October, many gravel roads intersect the Larose Forest in our vicinity, providing varied terrain for training and safe, groomed snow surface for riding in the winter; not even -40C temperatures can keep us off the trails! A map of the trails can be found here. We are located at the east end of the trails, next to the blue "P."
