Wildfire Ember - SOLD

Wildfire Arabians is proud to offer Wildfire Ember for sale!
Ember is a 2009 Quarab, registered with the HAHR. She is 15.2hh, and built more like a Quarter Horse but with the intelligence and extreme athleticism of the Arabian. She has long, swinging strides at all gaits and is currently going walk/trot/canter in a frame in the arena, and ridden on the trails with a loose rein, all on a snaffle. She completed her first 25 mile LD ride in June 2014, camping overnight like a pro. She is completely sane both in the arena and on the trail - her dam, our purebred arab FS Starlet, is equally calm and happy on the trail and is ridden only in a rope halter... so it's no surprise that Ember is so fond of, and talented on, the trails!
Ember is smart, so she requires a capable handler - one who is fair but firm when necessary. She does not need to be ridden frequently - you can take her out of the field after three weeks and have a wonderful ride - but she certainly enjoys her exercise, and would love to be out as much as possible! She is forward and responsive and curious, but not "hot" or "spooky." She appreciates a calm, confident rider, but has taken several beginners on walking tours of the forest without a single moment of hesitation! She leads and follows with no problem - never kicks or bites - and has hacked out alone.
Ember loves to jump! She also very much likes to perform reining-type manoeuvers in the paddock - she can turn on a time at any gait, and can sit on her hocks like nobody's business! She was leased for the winter by an eventer who has nothing but great things to say about how intelligent and quick-thinking Ember was, picking up every new skill within moments. She free jumps 3' without a second thought and has been exposed to many "scary" things (tarps, coats over her head, etc).
Ember bathes, flysprays, loads, trailers, ties, and lunges perfectly. She is not a deadhead - she will have her moments of testing her handler - but she is respectful, friendly, and loving. We personally started her under saddle, and she was a wonderfully calm and easy horse to work with!
FS Starlet (dam) is on site. She is lead broodmare on our farm - she has not been bred by us yet, but we bought Ember specifically to see first-hand what Star could produce for us, and we are more than thrilled! Star's pedigree is a "who's who" of Polish and Russian racing blood.
Sir Charles Raleigh (sire) is extremely laid-back and has produced several foals for his owners. He is very "cowy" and athletic - his pedigree is full of racers and working cowhorses.
A recent video can be seen here. Winter photos below are from Feburary, 2014 - you can see her lovely dappled winter coat! There are also a few pictures from the summer of 2013. Ember is currently in great condition, lives outside 24/7 in a mixed herd, and is good around dogs, children, and motorized vehicles.
Please do not hesitate to contact me with any additional questions regarding Ember. Ember is very special to us and we want her to go to the best home possible! Ember is offered at $4,500, but price is negotiable to the perfect home.
